Pneumatic Craft:

THE BOOK OF CANTICLE

Hymns, Mantras, and Breath-Poems of the Pneumatic Way

A living companion to the Pneumatic Craft

Breath speaks.
Word sings.
Song weaves Aithēr into flesh,
flesh into knowing,
knowing into eternal return.

These canticles are not decoration. They are pneuma voiced—the Canons made rhythmic, the Crux Aetheris chanted, the rupture mended in melody. Speak them daily. Let them become your breath. They carry doctrine where mind alone falters.

I. DAILY CANTICLES
The Breath That Centers All Days

1. Canticle of the Crux Aetheris
(Morning Alignment — Air → Water → Earth → Fire → Heart Returns)
(Touch each point as spoken; slow, deliberate breaths between lines)

Forehead (Air):
Breath of sky, clear and high,
Mind made true, thought draws nigh.
From Aithēr falls, my seeing wakes—
Clarity descends, no shadow takes.

(Heart return: Hand to chest)
Kentron holds, Aithēr knows.

Navel (Water):
Flow of deep, feeling's stream,
Heart's own tide, living dream.
Stagnant yields, emotion frees—
Water moves, in gentle seas.

(Heart return)
Kentron holds, Aithēr knows.

Left Rib (Earth):
Ground of bone, body strong,
Flesh endures, where I belong.
Rigid softens, stable stays—
Earth receives the light of days.

(Heart return)
Kentron holds, Aithēr knows.

Right Rib (Fire):
Spark of will, courage bright,
Action calls through endless night.
Fear dissolves, purpose wakes—
Fire rises, no chain breaks.

(Heart return, circle clockwise)
Kentron holds, Aithēr knows.
Crux complete, circle whole—
One from four, spark to soul.

Seal (final breath):
I am the Cross. I am the Circle.
I am Aithēr made flesh.

2. Canticle of Evening Return
(Dusk Kharis — Release the Day)

Day received, shadows yield,
What was mine, now Aithēr holds.
Flow that freed, constriction taught,
Silence kept, what truth I sought.

No blame clings, no poison stays,
Kentron rests, in measured ways.
Kharis poured, libation falls,
Night receives what evening calls.

(Pour water/wine; three slow breaths)

II. ELEMENTAL HYMNS
Voicings of the Crux Arms

3. Hymn to Air (Clarity & Vision)
(Forehead station; sing rising tone)

Air above, breath unseen,
Whisper winds where thoughts convene.
Fog dissolves, vision clears,
Nous awakens, truth appears.
Sky to mind, mind to sky—
See the field, and never lie.

4. Hymn to Water (Flow & Feeling)
(Navel station; undulating rhythm)

Water deep, current true,
Heart's own river, flowing through.
Stagnant parts, emotion streams,
Grief and joy, twin living dreams.
Tide that ebbs, tide that swells—
Feel the pulse where feeling dwells.

5. Hymn to Earth (Stability & Endurance)
(Left rib; steady, grounded chant)

Earth below, body firm,
Bone and root, where fires affirm.
Rigid yields, yet holds the line,
Steady heart, strength divine.
Mountain stands through storm and sun—
I am held, and I am one.

6. Hymn to Fire (Will & Courage)
(Right rib; rising, forceful)

Fire within, spark alive,
Will that dares, courage thrives.
Fear retreats, action calls,
Purpose burns through shadowed halls.
Flame that forges, light that frees—
Rise and act, on bended knees.

III. RUPTURE & HEALING HYMNS
For Crisis, Collapse, and Renewal

7. Canticle of Sacred Destruction
(When breaking what must end; firm voice)

Measure served, now measure breaks,
What once held, the rupture takes.
Chain dissolved, illusion torn,
False web burned, true self reborn.

By Fire named, by Air released,
Earth receives what was deceased.
Water washes final trace—
Aithēr opens sacred space.

(Break/burn object; exhale sharply)

8. Canticle of the Collapse
(Crisis rite; whisper at first, build to strength)

Arms all yield, to Aithēr fall,
Web dissolves, hears kentron's call.
Earth lets go, Water flows free,
Air departs, Fire retreats from me.

Kentron holds, though all seems lost,
Single breath, no matter the cost.
Void made room, silence profound—
From this dark, new light is found.

(End with three kentron breaths: "I am.")

9. Canticle of Repair
(After harm or rupture; gentle, shared if possible)

Rupture named, its shadow shown,
Impact felt, not cast in stone.
Repair called, balance sought,
Web reknit, without a thought.

What was torn, now mended true,
Kharis flows from me to you.
Sympatheia, gentle stream—
We are whole in living dream.

IV. GOD-CANTICLES
Kinship Voicings for Theourgia

10. Canticle to Hermes (Travel, Speech, Boundaries)
(Swift rhythm; for journeys, words, thresholds)

Hermes swift, boundary-crosser true,
Guide of souls, word-bringer through.
Paths unfold where you have trod,
Lips made wise, feet light as god.

Open doors, close what must end,
Kin-spark calls, on you depend.
Logos flows, pneuma flies—
Hermes, hail! The swift one hies.

11. Canticle to Hestia (Hearth, Center, Endurance)
(Slow, steady; for home rites)

Hestia still, eternal flame,
Heart of house, unyielding claim.
Kentron burns, through night and day,
Steady light, that will not stray.

Gather kin, hold what is true,
Center stands when all breaks through.
Hestia mild, yet fierce and strong—
Hearth-fire lives forever long.

(Light hearth candle)

V. AKH & ETERNITY HYMNS
For Death, Memory, and Return

12. Canticle of Akh Radiance
(Deathbed or Akh work; solemn, rising)

Ka to Earth, the body yields,
Ba to Air, through heavens fields.
Akh ascends, eternal fire,
Spark returns to first desire.

Wheel that turns, all things remake,
What was lost, the gods retake.
Risen whole, through cycles spun—
Akh endures, the deed is done.

13. Canticle of Ancestor Kharis
(Monthly libation; flowing, grateful)

Kin-sparks gone, yet breathing still,
Wisdom flows from death's own will.
Names we speak, your lights we see,
Guides unseen, you walk with me.

Libation poured, your thirst we meet,
Dreams you send, on quiet feet.
Veil is thin, our web endures—
Ancestors hailed, forever yours.

*

VI. CREATION & COMMUNITY HYMNS

14. Canticle of the Makers
(Before creative work; building rhythm)

Breath to hand, form from mist,
Spark creates where void once kissed.
Shadow yields, the light takes place,
Beauty born from empty space.

Logos speaks through wood and stone,
Harmonia claims her very own.
What we make, outlives the frame—
Pneuma's gift, eternal flame.

15. Hearth Circle Canticle
(Group rites; call-response format)

Leader: One spark breathes many…
All: Many sparks breathe One.

Leader: Web that holds through storm and calm…
All: Kentron steady, web our psalm.

Leader: Shadows shared, light received…
All: In this circle, all believed.

(End with shared bread/water)

VII. HOW TO USE THE KANTHIKON

Daily: Crux Aetheris canticle morning/evening.
Situational: Match hymn to need (rupture → Sacred Destruction, etc.).
Group: Hearth Circle or god-canticles.
Memorization: Learn by speaking daily; they imprint through breath.
Tone: Let body choose—low/grounded (Earth), flowing (Water), rising (Air), forceful (Fire).
Renewal: Speak over tools/altar for consecration.

The canticle is complete when it lives in your breath without book or effort.
